Bring your group/family to a 3-day Painters’ Workshop with renowned Tasmanian Landscape Artist – John E Gibb, held at the Luxury Eco Retreat; Tin Dragon Cottages. A beautiful, natural setting for a cosy workshop where one can find and develop their “inner artist” in a relaxed environment. The workshop involves producing a painting from start to finish with ideas from (digital) photographs of the coastline around Binalong Bay. A coastal theme with emphasis on water and rocks.

This retreat is situated in North East Tasmania and is surrounded by rivers, rolling green pastures and a backdrop of native bush. Situated 90 minutes from both Launceston and the Bay of Fires. A great opportunity to create a painting whilst getting outdoors, reconnecting with nature and exploring the natural beauty of the area.

Your Trip Includes:

  • Cost of Workshop - Includes all materials and equipment needed for the workshop.  Each participant will be given the opportunity to complete a painting on a canvas and will receive intensive, personal tutoring, through demonstration. 9-5pm Daily, with breakout sessions during the day. You can relax and wander the 36 Acre property or drive around the region.

  • 4 nights accommodation (Variety of Cottages to suit your group needs)

  • All meals from Friday night dinner to breakfast on Tuesday. Dinner will include two-courses. Welcome Friday dinner hosted by a local Chef using local produce. BBQ Dinner (weather permitting) on the last night by the river to celebrate participants achievements. BYO alcohol for entire trip.
